National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) awarded cash money NT$400,000 in recognition of five professors who have their papers published in top international journals.

Also, the five winners will be honored in a ceremony to mark the Teachers’ Day in September.

For the past two years, many professors in NCKU had published their research papers in top journals including Nature and Science. The university recently organized a committee to pass a regulation of rewards for faculty as a promotion to encourage research.

The five recipients are Prof. Yan-Shen Shan from the Institute of Clinical Medicine, Prof. I-Ching Chen from the Department of Life Sciences, Prof. Tzung-Fang Guo from the Department of Photonics, and Prof. Ting-Tsung Chang from the Department of Internal Medicine.
