A group of students from National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) are planning to visit some of the most influential leaders in the world including Sergey Brin, the co-founder of Google. The student representatives visit NCKU President Huey-Jen Jenny Su recently for further guidance.

President Su is happy to see the students and encourage the opportunity for them to see the world. As a supportive gesture, she generously donates her unused airline miles to help the students realize their dreams, saving them money in airfare.

President Su also said that she will launch a fundraising dinner for them in April.

“It's a real blessing to be able to travel and see the world,” said President Su who shared her own experience in travelling, hoping the students will share their own experience and learning with others after the journey.

This group of students coming from different departments all shared the same aspiration to join “Global Citizen Island” campaign organized by the Global Citizen Culture Association to visit a hundred World Leaders.

They will set off this year to visit a total of ten World Leaders including Google co-founder Sergey Brin, the Finnish Minister of Education Krista Kiuru, BIG founder Bjarke Ingels, former director general of Al Jazeera Wadah Khanfar, and German Green Party Chairperson Simone Peter.

President Su said, NCKU has always been encouraging students to develop an international perspective. She is happy to see the students take initiatives to explore the world.

The students reveal the expectation of visiting the World Leaders who will contribute their time, experience and expertise to help the youth pursue their dreams.
