The Institute of Tropical Plant Sciences (http://www.itps.ncku.edu.tw/main.php) at National Cheng Kung University (http://web.ncku.edu.tw/bin/home.php) located in Tainan, Taiwan invites applications for tenure-track position(s) at the ASSISTANT, ASSOCIATE or FULL Professor levels in the field of plant metabolomics/molecular genetics/pathogen to begin August 1, 2015. The main criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching. We welcome applicants whose research has translational applications.

Plant Molecular Genetics （植物分子遺傳學）
Candidates must specialize in QTL mapping and marker-assisted selection, or systems biology in high-throughput genotyping, functional genomics and related field for the improvement of yield, quality, disease or stress resistance in economically important staple and specialty crop plants.
Plant Metabolomics（植物代謝體學）
The successful candidate is expected to develop a state-of-the-art research program in the field of plant metabolomics, primary or secondary metabolism, and natural product biochemistry. The ideal candidate will explore important questions in applied and basic plant science through the use of high-throughput metabolic profiling and other metabolomic techniques. Individuals who integrate plant metabolic research together with genomic and proteomic technologies or who develop novel methods for metabolite identification and flux analysis are especially encouraged to apply.

Plant Pathology（植物病理學）
The research direction should be related to growth prevention against crop pathogenesis; especially those utilize molecular marker or genetic breeding to address the defense ability and mechanism. Potential candidates who can address tropical-crop-related projects and future field application are greatly welcomed.

Qualification:
The successful applicant should have a PhD and have at least two years postdoc fellow research experiences. We are particularly interested in candidates who have an active research program, a strong record of independent research, and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching.
