-NTD 29,000-33,000 for Master students

-NTD 115 per hour, working hours is negotiable

- Work Period: July 1-Dec. 31, 2014 (it can be extended according to the working efforts/attitude).

 Internship program notice
- The purpose of this announcement is to inform all interested foreign-nationality students about details of an internship program offered by the National Development Council (NDC) of Taiwan (R.O.C.).
I. Application procedure
Eligibility requirements
- The NDC may accept foreign-nationality interns who meet the following requirements and conditions:
a. Applicant is enrolled in a graduate school degree program at the time of application and during the internship.
b. Applicant is fluent in English.
Internship period
- During the summer, usually from July 1 to August 31. (Applicants may apply to extend the period of their internship for one month if necessary.)
Required documents
- Applying students who meet the eligibility requirements for an internship with the NDC must submit a passport copy and internship application form (Annex 1), attached to this circular (more information is available online at (www.ndc.gov.tw/encontent/). Applicants must also submit a copy of their most recent curriculum vitae (CV) and a short essay (150-250 words) explaining the reasons they are seeking an internship with the NDC.

- Approved applicants will be requested to sign the “NDC Internship Agreement”, contained in Annex 2.
II. Working terms
- The internship program normally operates on a full-time basis. Interns are expected to work four days (flexible working hours: clock-in between 8:00 and 9:30 a.m. and clock-out between 5:00 and 6:30 p.m.) a week in the department/office that has selected for them, under the supervision and consultation of an advisor. During the internship period, interns will be provided with a desk, general office supplies, phone and computer access. Interns do not receive a salary or other forms of compensation from the NDC.
- The advisor is responsible for the content of the intern’s assignment which should, where feasible, be explained fully to the intern prior to the commencement of the internship. Terms of reference describing the tasks and responsibilities of the internship assignment will be provided.
- An orientation program for all new interns will be offered by the NDC at the beginning of each internship period. The internship advisor will be available to assist interns throughout the internship period, as needed.
III. Expenses
- Expenses incurred by departments and offices (centers) in organizing the internship shall be covered by the council’s budget. Expenses incurred by the interns during the internship (e.g. personal travel, accommodation, maintenance, insurance, and medical expenses) are the responsibilities of the interns.
IV. Evaluation
- At the end of the internship, the advisor will prepare a written evaluation of the intern’s performance and organize a meeting with them to provide constructive feedback.
