ITS as one of the best research universities in Indonesia would like to invite students and staffs to participate in the 3rd Community and Technological Camp (CommTECH) Highlight 2014 which will take place in Surabaya, Indonesia on 25 August – 2 September 2014. This program is a special summer program which is designed to facilitate a broad opportunity to better understand common issues regarding community and technology, especially in Indonesia and to open up an opportunity to exchange ideas and develop a mutual vision for the future of our community. Under an interesting theme, “Solving Local Problems with Global Knowledge”, this program provides topics and discussion on Indonesian language and culture, batik production, renewable energy, local economic development, maritime transportation, robotics technology, and the development of electric cars in Indonesia. Various of activities including classes, discussions, an industrial visit, community observations, a trip to tourism destinations, and interactions with ITS students would be packed into this program. For your information, ITS provides full scholarships and partial scholarships for participants from different institutions and countries to join this program.
In addition to CommTECH Highlight 2014, ITS also offers several short courses during winter holiday (January 2014) and summer holiday (June – August 2014) on the following topics:
1. Learning Indonesian Language & Culture (16-29 June 2014)
2. Exploring Biodiversity of Baluran Indonesia (20-26 June 2014)
3. Treasures of the 13th Centuries East Java’s Majapahit Kingdom (20-28 June 2014)
4. Community-based-Sanitation in Urban dan Rural Areas (17-24 August 2014)
5. Green Industry and Green Business: Opportunities dan Challenges (4-17 August 2014)
