Applicants with excellent academic accomplishments or great potential to develop in the areas of surface processes (including related fields in sedimentology, geomorphology, geophysics, and/or field geology) and Earth evolution (covering paleontology, stratigraphy, historical geology, and/or related fields) are strongly encouraged to apply for 1~2 faculty positions at the levels of assistant professorship or higher. Outstanding scholars in other fields of earth sciences who are able to demonstrate exceptional academic achievements or potentials are also highly welcome to apply.
The appointment is scheduled to begin on August 1, 2012. Successful candidates should submit a cover letter summarizing their experience and plans in teaching and research, curriculum vitae, copy of Ph.D. diploma (or other supporting documents), reprints of critical publications, and three letters of recommendation to the following address before March 31, 2012.

- [Internship] Uni-President 2012 Summer Internship for South-East Asia Int'l Students
 Uni-President Enterprise Corp. is recruiting one group of the South-East Asia int'l students to have the internship in this summer, so if you meet the qualifications below and are interested in this program, see the attachments for the further info.
A. Qualification:
1. Nationality: Vietnam, Thailand, Phillippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, Myanmar, India, Malaysia
2. Students with IMBA, MBA, Aquaculture or Engineering majors are qualified, and graduates are preferred.

- [Notice] NCKU Work Permit of the Part-time Job
 For international students who wish to work in Taiwan (either on campus or off campus), they are required to apply for and obtain the work permit before starting work. Please note that if you hold a job without applying for the work permit, you may be fined for NT$30,000~150,000.
Please be serious to deal with this, and follow the school's regulation and application to apply for the work permission. Besides, remind you that this work permit is just the permission of the part-time job, not the full-time professional job.

- Guidelines for 2012 KGSP (Korean Government Scholarship Program) Graduate Admission
Please refer to the content and attachments below for further inforamtion on your own if you are interested :
- Eligible Universities: The 51 listed universities designated by NIIED (National Institute for International Education, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in Korea)
- Applicants recommended by the Korean Embassies must choose 3 desired universities out of the 51 universities and apply for admission.
- Applicants recommended by designated domestic universities must choose 1 desired university out of the 51 universities and apply for admission.
- Available Field of Study: The programs only in the University Information
- Available Course: Master’s course or Doctoral course
- Selection Process
- 1st Selection: Each 1st selection institution will draft a selections standard based on the criteria supplied by NIIED, and recommend the best applicants according to its respective standards.
- Applicants must apply for this program through only one organization.
- Overseas Korean adoptees have to apply only via an embassy if their countries are allotted the adoptee quotas.
- 2nd Selection: The NIIED Selection Committee will select the most successful candidates from the pool of applicants recommended by the 1st selection institutions.
- 3rd Selection(Candidates recommended only by embassies) : All candidates who passed the 2nd selection successfully will be evaluated for admission by the universities which they applied.
- Important Notes
- The embassy candidates (including overseas Korean adoptees) who gain admission from more than one university have to make a final decision and notify their 1st institution and NIIED by the designated date.
- Applicants who have ever enrolled in a university in Korea will be disqualified from applying to the KGSP program. Specifically, an applicant who has previously enrolled in an undergraduate program, a master's program, or a doctoral program in Korea cannot apply for this program. However, a KGSP scholar who has graduated or will graduate from a Korean university as of August 31st, 2012 can apply for this program again only via the embassy if only he/she holds at least TOPIK Level 4 and obtain another recommendation within the allotment from the Korean Embassy of his/her respective country of origin (re-application is limited to one instance).
- Transferring to a different university is not permitted in any case after confirming the host university. In regards to changing majors, it would be permitted only under the mutual agreement of the departments concerned, with the scholarship period unchanged. (2 years of Master’s, or 3 years of doctoral, in total). However, quitting a program and applying for a new program is not permitted.
- Selection Schedule (Expected)
- Application Period : Jan. 31st ~ Mar. 31st (decided by the 1st Selection Institution)
- The 1st Selection : The end of March (decided by the 1st Selection Institution)
