InGaN–GaN Multiquantum-Well Blue and Green Light-Emitting Diodes
Shoou-Jinn Chang

THE III–V NITRIDE semiconductor materials have a wurtzite crystal structure and a direct energy bandgap. At room temperature, the bandgap energy of AlInGaN varies from 1.95 to 6.2 eV depends on its composition ratio. Therefore, III–V nitride semiconductors are useful for light-emitting device in the short wavelength region. Indeed, III–V nitride-based blue and green light-emitting diodes (LEDs) …

Dielectric properties and microstructure of Nb-Co codoped BaTiO3-(Bi0.5Na0.5)TiO3 ceramics
Hsing-I Hsiang

X-ray diffractometry (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and an impedance analyzer were used to examine the Nb-Co co-doping effects on the densification, crystalline phase, microstructure development and dielectric-temperature characteristics of BaTiO3-(Bi0.5Na0.5)TiO3 ceramics. …

Regulation of the Physical Characteristics of Titania Nanotube Aggregates Synthesized from Hydrothermal Treatment
Hsisheng Teng

This study prepared titania nanotube aggregates with different porosities from hydrothermal treatment on commercial TiO2 particles in NaOH followed by HCl washing. Pore size distribution analysis shows that smaller pores are mainly contained in the nanotubes while larger pores are contributed by the interspace region of the aggregates. The hydrothermal treatment temperature employed …

Personality, safety attitudes and risky driving behaviors- Evidence from young Taiwanese motorcyclists
Ching-Fu Chen

1. Introduction

Despite the risk of being involved in a traffic accident is the same for motorcyclists as other road users, the risk for a motorcyclist of being severely injured is much higher.

Within psychological research field, various perspectives such as cognitive and personality have attempted to explain individual differences in risk-taking and traffic accident …
