The Internet and multi-media are widely used and mobile devices are popular. Thus, the research in visual information processing (VIP) is getting important. This is the 13th VIP workshop since the first one in 1995. It is going to be the first one held in Taiwan.
Inviting foreign organizations to come and hold workshops in Taiwan is very important for our goal of become a world top university. This workshop has been around for 12 years, so a solid academic community has been built. The topics of the workshop cover image processing, multi-media, visual communication and image identifying, which are what most of our software companies are after. We believe that this workshop will be beneficial to both the industry and our school.
